As many know, my preparation process for writing often exist on the clues or situations that I run up against either in Second Life or in real life. I gather my ideas from that and then procrastinate for hours on end while I let the tension of approaching deadlines and the lack of words stir me into action. Often my procrastination leads me to either youtube or Wikipedia, because hours can be wiled away there.

But sometimes youtube searches and Wikipedia wanders lead to funny results [1] and a great way to introduce a blog post. Tonight while I was watching some videos I came across something that I had not seen in a long time a Terrence Hill and Bud Spencer video, purely by accident. Now Terrence Hill looked familiar but because I could not find the movie I was thinking off. So I googled a bit around and eventually came across the movie I was looking for, “The World of Don Camillio“, a great comic story of a priest in a communist Italian village.

And then it struck me. A young Terrence Hill would have made an excellent Søren Stearns, (albeit it would be a bit type cast), one of the main characters of the Original Sinners book-set by none other than the exquisite Tiffany Reisz. So why does this lead me to an intro, it is because to an extend I have become annoyed with most of the writing premise in the amount of bdsm related fiction that floods the market.

So this blog comes on the doorstep of Easter and supposedly the starts of spring. Looking outside I for one, can not remember having have ever an Easter so cold. Perhaps it is because it is early in the year, but i know here March has gone down as one of the coldest months in the last fifty years or so. Perhaps in that case it may not come as a surprise that Easter may actually turn out to be colder than Christmas just gone.

Thinking back on last year, where we were enjoying a glorious spring, to the point of sitting outside in the sun and soaking up the rays. This year, however that proves not to be the case and the word of the week seems to be layers and wrapping oneself up (not not in that way!) and curled up sitting near a roaring fire to keep warm. On the plus side, a laptop (where I am writing this blog on at the moment), is also now happily functioning as a glorified lap-warmer

After trying to write something meaningful about the meaning of Easter, I have decided to pick up one of the chapters of my story. Yes, yes i know a long time coming. So without much further ado, I give you the continuing saga of “Self control“, and the latest chapter. Enjoy!!

Well for my second blog-post of the year I was sort of planning to write a story. Yes, I have started a new story. Directly from a challenge to write something that is much darker and harsher in tone then my previous two published stories. So in the middle of the night I got inspiration (interesting how inspiration always seem to strike right in the middle of the night when you are supposed to get sleep and never the moment you open up your trust text editor and stare at the magnificence that is the blank page?

But rest assured, there is a new story in the planning and I have a good two thousand words written on it already. And that is basically just the beginning and the end. The story is about a girl under going training at the hands of a dominant that may go to no ends to mould her in the way he sees fit. How will she last this onslaught of emotions, new attitudes and enforced servitude? Well for that you need to read my story when I put it up. But so far, the reaction have been pretty good (I have a small core of readers to which I release material from time to time). You know who you are and thank you.

But sadly, after the first dash of words, I have seen to halted and need to work out how to proceed with my work on this one, where do I want the story to go and where do I want to take my characters. What obstacles will they over come and how will I delve into the darker sides of bdsm, without giving in to sheer banality and stay true to my own writing style and do my work the justice I think it does deserve? Answers on a postcard…

One of the more awesome experiences this week was while I was sitting down and talking with a group of people a person messaged me and said she finally figured out I was the writer of this blog. I can not express how much her enthusiasm meant to me. If nothing else it is nice to be recognised (hey, it is my 15 minutes of fame and I want them!), but to hear that your blog helps to inspire people to write, that is high praise indeed. Thank you so much!

So for this week, apart from my own incessant rambling, I shall try to touch on a few topics that crossed across my mind this week.

Well after quite a hiatus of a couple of months…

Here is the fifth chapter in my work in progress story; “Self Control“. I was not entirely sure what to write this time around and since I did not want to freestyle it again, nor did I feel in the mood to research a subject or answer a load of submissive prompts (even though they do write remarkably easy); so I decided to dust of my characters and try to write another chapter.

And of course I want to thank my proof readers (you know who you are) for helping me point out some flaws in my sentence structures. I know I sound grumpy about this at times (oh how frail the ego of an writer is), but I am thankful for your time and help. Any mistakes in this story are purely my own.

This chapter was somewhat more difficult to write as it was really meant as a reflective, interim chapter that is sort of a filler between two parts of the story. Still I hope I pulled it off enough with enough of an insight into some of the characteristics and the world our protagonist lives in.

With great pleasure..

I hereby give you the fourth chapter of my ongoing story; “Self Control“. I am somewhat surprised at the ease of writing that went in this chapter. While I was stressing a bit about this when I started it flowed relatively easily after the first few hundred words. Writers (not that I really count myself as one) often say that characters in their book have their own story to tell and that they just narrate what the characters tell.

That is kind of what writing this chapter felt like. The conversation flowed more naturally and I think there is some good interaction between our two main characters. But you can judge that for yourself.

One thing that until recently got me, is that my other story “Cuffed“, is seemingly nearly double the size of this story. Until recently, as I just had an sort of epiphany. It took me over a year to write Cuffed, including a large rewrite as I decided to change one of the characters in a major way. (A really really bad thing to do apparently, but I think the story works better for it, despite it costing me several months to rewrite everything.

But I realised that I haven’t nearly worked as long on this story and it is coming on nicely and I am having (a lot more the expecting) fun writing it. So I hope you enjoy the latest instalment of my story:

Well, here it is…

The third instalment of my ongoing story; “Self Control“. So far I am enjoying writing this tail for several reasons. Mostly because I have come to enjoy writing it and while creative writing doesn’t come easy at times, it seem the last few months have done me good in actual writing.

The second part may just be the masochist in me, because up till now, I have always had a general idea about the story what it would be about, say; have a vision of the central theme of the story. Which in most cases made writing about it rather easy. I had to work the scene out a bit, and write the beginning and end. But the idea and the characters was there. With Self-Control it has been different that the major scene that happened in my mind that let me to writing this story was pretty much dealt with in the first paragraphs of this chapter.

So I have been struggling a bit, finding direction, discovering what my characters are about and how they act. But i think with some inspiration, I am getting there. Anyway, I digress…

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote the first chapter in a story, called Self Control1. I have struggled a while to find the direction I want to go with this, but I think I am slowly getting there. The second chapter is now ready. It is a bit more descriptive then the first and lighter on the interaction but bear with me.
