I was “born” in Second Life over a year ago (12/11/2006 to be exact). For a while I just didn’t exist. Then slowly I crawled out of my shell so speak and made my way calmly (rushed) through orientation- and help island. I actually stayed a fairly long time at help island… but suddenly I had enough.
There is only so much thoughtful gazing you can do from a bench. I made my way out into the mainland … and as they say .. that was probably where it all went wrong ![]()
So who am I then? As you can see I am a somewhat of a goth-neko (ie a cat girl). Well if you come across me in-world, then you’ll probably know me best as Lex Berchot, or lex or lexi as some call me (this is also where my blog name comes from; a combination between second life and lexi).
Then again there might be some other names people call me *grins*. Apart from this blog, I also write for Second Life’s Subbie Union (of which your truly is the President)
I occasionally hop around the various places, although a lot of the time I find a place and sit myself down. Doing stuff is fun, but occasionally just sitting around and having a nice chat is rather quite relaxing. (yes, there are other things that are relaxing and fun too .. but much about that later).
As for my personality type:
The Nurturer
You have a strong need to belong, and you very loyal.
A good listener, you excel at helping others in practical ways.
In your spare time, you enjoy engaging your senses through art, cooking, and music.
You find it easy to be devoted to one person, who you do special things for.In love, you express your emotions through actions.
Taking care of someone is how you love them. And you do it well!At work, you do well in a structured environment. You complete tasks well and on time.
You would make a good interior designer, chef, or child psychologist. How you see yourself: Competent, dependable, and detail oriented
When other people don’t get you, they see you as: Boring, dominant, and stuck in a rut

Welcome back to the world of SL. Why do you blog? For probably the same reason I do. To share
. SL is a visually and socially rich experience and it is hard to keep it to yourself. Just by writing down your experiences you learn a bit more about yourself. So welcome back to SL and you’ll make it through your ISP troubles.

Hi Ravishal,
And thank you for you kind words. Hmm why do I blog. It started when my old computer was down because it mysteriously broke down. Now being dependent on a computer is pretty much important for me for study/work/relaxation/sanity
And yes, I wanted to share, guess it does appeal to that part of me that is an exhibitionist
. Also writing down my thoughts as you pointed out helps me to think more about the reasons why I do things the way I do them.
On the ISP front, they are still being annoyingly slow in fixing things, however all things said and done, it usually behaves good enough for me to be in world, bar the fact that I get cut off when being online too long for 24 hours which means I have to be carefull
I hope your connection problems will soon be over
